New HOPE of McDowell, formerly Family Services of McDowell County, Inc., has been providing services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in the community since October 24, 1983. As a 100% grant-funded organization, we rely heavily on community support to ensure services are always available free of cost to those in need. All contributions, donation or monetary, are tax deductible and greatly appreciated here at New HOPE.
Healing, Outreach. Prevention. Empowerment. These words represent what is most important to our agency. By providing an environment that allows survivors to heal, programs that expand community knowledge, presentations and training to discuss prevention strategies, and services that promote empowerment of victims and survivors, we feel we are fulfilling our mission!
